Guardian Automotive to Add Windshield Recycling
Guardian Automotive is the newest company in the auto glass industry to reuse windscreens. Customers of 4 of the firm's distribution centres can return broken windows to Guardian to be recycled.

"We are delighted about our new green initiative," asserts Scott Billings, director of distribution operations for Guardian Car. "Windshield recycling is a win / win we are doing the proper thing for the environment by keeping windshields out of landfills and we're helping our customers scale back their waste costs."

The company plans to grow the programme to the other 8 distribution centers later on. The four centers now participating are Detroit, Cincinnati, Findlay and Atlanta.

"We've received plenty of positive feedback from our customers," claims Billings. "Once we put the new boxes out and communicated with our purchasers, we immediately commenced seeing damaged windshields being returned.".
